We provide complete web design services ranging from personal web pages to complex e-commerce websites. Over the years, we have created web pages for small businesses and individuals. Many of the sites are no longer published online, but those that are published are listed under the "CER Designs Clients" menu at the top of the page.

We discuss with the persons requesting to have a website created and go through the details of layout, contents, graphics, and other aspects. It is important that the client is excited about their site and believe their site conveys an appropriate message in line with their mission statement or goals.

 

* Website Design Types

There are many different kinds of websites that can be created for customers. Below is an outline of the types of websites we create.

 

* Initial Design Only

If you only need us to create an initial website for you, these "shell" sites are created quickly. CER Designs would simply create the overall website, create links, create any graphics required, and create "shell" web pages. From here, the customers can then create their own content in those pages and administer their site.

 

* Personal Websites

Personal websites are those that are made specifically for an individual. Typically, these websites are the lowest cost since they contain only a few pages - a main page, a biography page, a hobby/interest page, or other pages that give information about the owner. Personal websites could also contain a "blog" - or a listing of posts that an individual wants to put on their website on a regular basis. Personal websites may also have picture galleries as well. The CER Designs website is a fusion of two different types of website design - a small business informative site - and a personal website. The CER Designs site includes a few blogs (gardening and computer blogs) along with a picture gallery.

 

* WordPress Sites

Wordpress blogs / sites have become very popular today. They are fairly simple for the client to update themselves on a regular basis. Keep in mind that there are literally thousands of "Themes" available for WordPress. Some are quite simple to configure and update, while others are very complex and require a lot of PHP and CSS coding to function properly. We can help you choose a theme and we'll tell you right up front if it will be "user-friendly" to update. WordPress itself is free, but many of the fancier themes are on the market for a small fee. We can modify your theme for you at an hourly rate.

 

* Website Templates

There are many marvelous templates for sale out there. This may help you get the look or layout you want to build upon. You want your site to be unique, the problem is, can you customize it yourself? Many template sites charge a small fortune for modifications. We can customize a template with your text, images, videos links, and individual pages at a reasonable rate.

 

* Business/Organization Informational Websites

Business and organization informational websites are sites that provide information about a company or an organization. These types of websites may also include a few products that are available for purchase online using an external shopping cart system - such as PayPal. These sites typically cost more than a personal website because of additional needs of businesses or organizations. This may include calendars, external shopping cart integration, and newsletters that allow a business or organization to send e-mails to customers. Each additional function that a website requires will incur additional time and expense for setup and configuration.

 

* E-Commerce Websites

E-Commerce websites are very costly - depending upon how the customer wishes to setup the website. E-commerce sites can contain thousands of products, product images, inventory tracking, customer order tracking, and may also include those features of a business or organization informational page. If you only require the initial setup of an e-commerce website but wish to load your own products, the costs of creating an e-commerce site drop dramatically. The largest portion of time that is required to setup an e-commerce site is the configuration of shipping charges, taxes, and product placement. With an e-commerce site, it is also a requirement to have a third-party payment processor. Our E-commerce solutions integrate flawlessly with PayPal.

 

* Website Creation Timeline

We move at the speed of our customers. CER Designs can create websites in a matter of a few days if this is a requirement of the customer. Depending up how busy we are, additional fees may be incurred for those that wish to have a website done very quickly. This is because we may have to postpone working on another customer's website to give a higher priority to one that needs completed quickly. We have created several websites in less than a week.

 

* Graphic & Flash Animation Design

CER Designs provides highly affordable graphic and flash animation design. If you need to have a custom logo created - or just need other graphics created for your website, we also create these as well. If you want to have an animated logo or intro page, we can create Flash animations for this purpose. our CER Designs logo at the top of this page is a simple Flash-animated logo. Graphics & Flash animation charges are charged by the project/job - not by the hour.

 

* Cost of Website Design

The cost involved to create a website is done on an hourly basis. "Intial Design Only" websites are inexpensive and can be started for as low as $75! As extra features are added to a website that you would like created, this takes additional time to create these features, program the features, and configure the features.

Website design charges are $25 an hour for websites hosted with CER Designs. Customers who wish to have their website hosted with another provider incur charges of $50 an hour for website design.

• Most personal websites can be completed for $200 or less ($400 for non-hosting accounts)
• Business/organizational sites can be completed for $300 or less ($600 for non-hosting accounts)
• E-commerce sites vary greatly in cost. These sites are dependent upon the number of products and if they need pre-loaded.

The quotes above do not include any graphics/animation work nor do they include any custom programming. Most sites do not require any custom programming - but a few need features that are specifically created and tailored towards their needs.
